The Disney fan community is in mourning.
Dominique Brown, who chronicled her love for the brand and its theme parks on her personal page and the @BlackGirlDisney account on Instagram, has died. She was 34.
The influencer died after reportedly experiencing an allergic reaction at a holiday event pop culture merchandise retailer BoxLunch hosted in Los Angeles Dec. 5, according to multiple reports. The official cause of her death was not released.
“We are devastated by the passing of Dominique Brown,” a BoxLunch rep told People in a statement on Saturday, Dec. 7, “a beloved member of the BoxLunch Collective, who suffered a medical emergency at an event hosted by BoxLunch on Thursday in Los Angeles.”
The statement added, “Our hearts go out to her family and friends, and we will do everything we can to support them and the members of the BoxLunch Collective and our team during this painful time.”
Brown’s brother, Patrick Ramos, thanked fans for their support after news of his sister’s death was made public.
