Rangers overcame a goal deficit to defeat Dundee United 3-1 on the road in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday, thanks to a goal from Cyriel Dessers.
Dessers currently has six goals in his previous four outings and has scored in four straight games.
The Rangers team did not include his Nigerian teammate Leon Balogun. Before Mohammed Diomande levelled on minute 36, Dundee broke the tie in minute 19 through Sam Dalby.
After Robin Propper gave Rangers a 2-1 lead in the 49th minute, Dessers scored the third goal in the 86th.
Diomande was sent off after receiving a straight red card in the 95th minute. Rangers now sit 10 points behind Celtic in the league standings with 50 points.
In Thursday’s Europa League match against Manchester United, Dessers scored an incredible goal.
He finished fourth in the fans’ voting for the Europa League Goal of the Day award, for which his strike was nominated.
