CS Constantine of Algeria easily defeated Bravos do Maquis of Angola 4-0 on Sunday night to take the lead in Group A of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup’s final Match Day 4 matches.
Before Abdennour Belhocini and Dadi El Hocine Mouaki’s late goals sealed a decisive victory for the Algerians, who recaptured their top rank from Simba AC, Miloud Rebiai and Tosin Omoyele had given them a two-goal lead before halftime.
In what appears to be a fiercely contested race to the group’s knockout stages, Bravos will be disappointed to lose ground, while the Algerians have now won three of their last four games.
