Chris Hemsworth might have something new to make life divine.
The Thor actor is in early talks to take on the title role in Disney’s new live action film Prince Charming, according to multiple outlets.
E! News has reached out to reps for Chris as well as Disney, but has not heard back.
Plot details about the film—which will center around Cinderella’s prince—are being kept under wraps with no release set date yet. However, it was confirmed by Deadline last week that Paddington 2 and Wonka director Paul King is set to direct, with a script written by Paul, Simon Farnaby and Jon Croker—both of whom worked with Paul on the script for Paddington 2.
A movie focusing on Prince Charming was first in development at Disney back in 2015 with a script by Matt Fogel, however it appears those plans have shifted.
If Chris is to be crowned Prince Charming, the 41-year-old is no stranger to taking on roles in live action fairy tale retellings, having previously played The Huntsman in 2012’s Snow White and the Huntsman and its 2016 sequel The Huntsman: Winter’s War alongside Charlize Theron who took on the role of the Evil Queen, renamed Ravenna for the films.
