Israel has reportedly lodged a formal protest with negotiators over the disorderly handover of hostages Arbel Yehoud and Gadi Mozes to the Red Cross in Gaza.
During the transfer in Khan Younis, the two civilian hostages were forced to navigate a chaotic scene, surrounded by a jeering and shoving crowd as they were moved from Palestinian Islamic Jihad custody to Red Cross officials.
The images and videos of the incident have sparked outrage, with concerns raised over the conditions of the release.
There has been no immediate comment from the Prime Minister’s Office regarding the protest.
