Nigerian megastar Burna Boy continues to soar globally, now leading the Nigerian contingent on the prestigious Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The Port Harcourt-born musician, who rose to international fame with his smash hit single ‘YE’, has reached another achievement by becoming the Nigerian artiste with the most entries on America’s Billboard Hot 100.
Burna Boy‘s latest achievement comes with his appearance on Coldplay’s ‘We Pray’, featuring British rapper Little Simz.
The song debuted at No. 87 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the week of October 19, 2024, marking Burna Boy’s sixth entry on the chart.
His highest-charting song remains his global hit ‘Last Last’, which peaked at No. 44 and stayed on the chart for an impressive 19 weeks.
Trailing behind Burna Boy is Grammy Award-winning singer Tems, who has five Billboard entries.
Tems made history as the first Nigerian artiste to debut at No. 1 on the chart with her collaboration on Future’s ‘Wait For U’.
Wizkid ranks third among Nigerian artists with four Billboard entries, including a No. 1 hit for his feature on Drake’s ‘One Dance’, making him the first Afrobeats artist to top the chart.
Other Nigerian stars who have appeared on the Billboard Hot 100 include Rema, CKay, Fireboy, Davido, and Lojay, each with one entry.
