Britney Spears Claps Back at “Boring” Osbourne Family After They Criticize Her Dancing
Britney Spears has a new reason to feel stronger.
The “…Baby One More Time” singer revealed that she’s made the decision to marry herself and she could not be more thrilled with her choice.
“The day I married myself,” Britney wrote on Instagram Oct. 20. “Bringing it back because it might seem embarrassing or stupid, but I think it’s the most brilliant thing I’ve ever done !!!”
The 42-year-old shared the message alongside a video of herself wearing a white, satin dress and a lace veil set to Sting‘s “Fields of Gold”—a song that features lyrics about finding love among the barley fields.
While Britney didn’t expand on the decision, the practice of marrying oneself is commonly known as sologamy, which supporters say can help lead to a happier life.
The “Toxic” singer has stayed mum on any new relationships since she finalized her split from Sam Asghari in May of this year. The actor had filed for divorce in August 2023, just over a year after their June 2022 marriage. She was also previously wed to Jason Alexander and Kevin Federline, with whom she shares sons Sean Preston Federline, 19, and Jayden James Federline, 18.
