Kennedy Boboye, the technical adviser for Sunshine Stars, has expressed worry about his team’s goal-scoring performance in the 2024–2025 Nigeria Premier Football League.
In an NPFL match played at Otunba Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu-Ode on match day six, the Sunshine Stars defeated Rangers International with a goal from Stephen Chukwude in the 42nd minute.
In a post-game interview, Boboye pledged to improve his team’s ability to convert opportunities while praising his players for winning the crucial three points.
“It was a good game, the most important thing is the three points we have because it is one game after the other.
“All we need is just to go back and start working on goal scoring; had we won the game by four to five goals it would have been well deserved.
“There is no game we played that we didn’t miss goals since the league program started.”
Sunshine Stars, now tied for fourth place in the standings, will next travel to Ilorin to play Kwara United in a midweek match.
