The National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South East zone, Ijeomah Arodiogbu, has said that the party is set to capture the remaining states in the zone.
He said the prospects of the APC in the southeast region seem to be very bright as the days roll by.
Arodiogbu, who spoke to journalists in Anambra, said the party has put mechanisms in place to ensure that it captures Anambra next year when the party holds its election, while Abia and Enugu will be captured during the 2027 general elections.
He said: “I can assure you of the zone’s intention of correcting the mistake of 2023 by ensuring that the party wins the forthcoming Anambra guber polls.
“All hands are on deck to actualise such, after which Abia and Enugu would also follow. We have a number of positives for the party in the zone, and we hope that these will translate to victory.
“The achievements of the zone under my stewardship include the continuous mobilization of members by the party in the various states, which had seen a number of stalwarts decamp into the party’s progressive fold.”
