Chuba Akpom has finished his loan transfer to Lille, a team in Ligue 1.
The 29-year-old left Dutch powerhouse Ajax Amsterdam to join the former French League winners.
At the conclusion of the season, Les Dogues might choose to extend the loan agreement.
Lille defeated fierce competition from several European clubs to sign the striker. In 2023, Akpom left Middlesbrough of the Sky Bet Championship to join Ajax.
The 2022–2023 season was the most productive for the Arsenal youth graduate, who played for Middlesbrough.
Akpom was awarded the Championship’s best player after scoring 29 goals in 42 club appearances.
In his debut season at Ajax, the attacker scored 15 goals in 36 games but battled for consistent playing time.
He has eight goals in the Eredivisie and four more in the UEFA Europa League thus far this season.
