Delta Queens quest for their first away win in the 2025 Nigeria Women Football League NWFL continued as they were floored 3-0 by Adamawa Queens on Matchday 3 on Wednesday at the Pantamu Stadium, Gombe.
The MORE Girls headed to Matchday 3 on the back of their 2-0 win on Matchday 2 against Benue Queens at the Stephen Keshi Stadium Asaba.
Despite putting a superb performance to keep their host at bay in a cagey contest, Delta Queens succumbed to pressure from the hosts as Afensimi Omon broke the deadlock in added minutes before the break.
The visitors returned to the field of play in the second half hoping to level terms but missed begging chances before Afensimi punished them again with her second goal of the game in the 60th minute.
The Adamawa Queens forward completed her hat trick of the game in the 75th minute to put the game beyond reach for Delta Queens who have now loss their two away games.
