BRIEFING JOURNALISTS IN ABUJA, THE CONVENER OF THE GROUP, HUSSAINI ABUBAKAR AGARE EXPRESSED CONCERN THAT THE SYSTEM PUT IN PLACE HAS MADE IT DIFFICULT FOR A COMMON MAN TO ACCESS LAND OR AFFORDABLE HOUSING.

RECALL THAT THE FCT MINISTER HAD SAID INSTITUTIONS SEEKING LAND ALLOCATION IN THE FCT MUST AGREE TO DEVELOP THE LAND WITHIN A GIVEN TIMEFRAME AND ALSO DEMONSTRATE THEIR FINANCIAL CAPACITY TO CARRY OUT SUCH DEVELOPMENTAL ACTIVITIES BEFORE ALLOCATIONS ARE MADE.
