Senator Binos Yaroe, representing Adamawa South Senatorial District, has distributed N6 million and farming inputs to over 300 farmers across nine Local Government Areas (LGAs) in his constituency.
The distribution, which took place on Tuesday in Mayo-Belwa LGA, marks the first phase of the senator’s initiative to support local farmers.
Yaroe emphasized that this effort is part of his constituency project, approved by the federal government, aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity in the 93 wards across the nine LGAs.
Each beneficiary received N20,000, along with fertilizers and herbicides, to aid in boosting their crop yields.
The senator announced that a second batch of inputs would be distributed within the next two weeks, ensuring that more farmers benefit from this initiative. He urged the recipients to use the inputs effectively to achieve a bountiful harvest.
Yahuza Yakamata, an official from Rockland Synergy Concepts, the contracting company for the project, specified that the fertilizers provided are NPK 20-10-10 and NPK 20-15-15, along with appropriate herbicides.
Expressing her gratitude, Mrs. Violet Vendict, a beneficiary from Jada LGA, thanked Sen. Yaroe for his support, highlighting the positive impact it will have on her farming activities.
