The Taraba State House of Assembly, on Tuesday received three executive communications from Governor Agbu Kefas.
The communication introduced three critical bills aimed at improving governance and infrastructure in the state.
The proposed bills include, the Taraba State Mortgage and Property Board (Establishment) Bill 2025, Taraba State Transport and Safety Administration Modification Law (Establishment) Bill 2025, and a bill to amend the Advance Teachers College Law Jalingo Law Cap 5 of Taraba State 1997.
While the first bill seeks to establish a Mortgage and Property Board to streamline property and mortgage administration within the state, the Second bill, aims to modify the existing framework of the state’s Transport and Safety Administration to enhance safety and regulatory oversight.
On the third bill, the proposed amendment intends to update the law governing the Advance Teachers College in Jalingo to align with current educational standards and requirements.
The members who announced their readiness to deliberate on the bills as part of its legislative agenda, said the bills will undergo a thorough review process, including committee scrutiny and stakeholder engagement, to ensure they meet the developmental needs of the state.
