South Africa’s goalkeeper and captain Ronwen Williams has expressed his excitement ahead of the 2025 AFCON draw, noting that Bafana Bafana’s qualification is a significant achievement for the team and the nation.
Williams emphasised the importance of being seeded along other African football powerhouses.
“Yeah, we’re excited. We’re looking forward to it. The main and the most important thing is that we are in the top ten now, so we are in pot two and it’s going to be difficult whichever group that you are in, because this is the best of the best on the continent,” Williams said as quoted by CAFOnline.com.
“We’re excited for the draw, we’re looking forward to it and the most important thing is that we qualified,” he added. “We’ve got enough time now, you know, God-willing, you know, all our soldiers are fit and ready to go, so that we can obviously from the experiences we got last year, even go a step further this year.”
