Controversial British broadcaster Piers Morgan has reacted to Arsenal’s Premier League 2-2 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday.
Gabriel Martinelli gave Arsenal the lead in the 35th minute before Kai Havertz double the lead for the hosts.
However, Youri Tielemans pulled one back for the visitors few minutes later.
Ollie Watkins then scored to restore parity as both teams got a point each at Emirates Stadium.
Mikel Arteta’s side dominated possession in the last 30 minutes of the encounter but failed to score a third goal.
Mikel Merino’s shot was defleted into the back of the net after it touched Havertz.
The referee, via the help of VAR, ruled out the goal, suggesting that it touched the German’s hand.
Reacting, Morgan, a die-hard Arsenal supporter, labelled Arsenal’s display as ‘absolute crap.’
According to him, Arteta’s men blew a two-goal lead against Unai Emery’s side.
“Crap. Absolute crap. Two up and we blow it. Don’t our players want to win the League?! Get your cheque-book out now, Arteta – or just give Liverpool the PL trophy,” Morgan wrote on X after the game.
