TP Mazembe defeated group winners Al Hilal 4-0 on Saturday in Kinshasa to round up their season.
Jean Diouf opened the goal in the 21st minute, and Ibrahima Keita doubled the lead eight minutes later, but the DR Congo giants nevertheless put on their greatest show of the season despite already being eliminated.
Just before the hour, Mercy Ngembe added a third goal, and in the 89th minute, Souleymane Chaibou finished the sweep.
Since they had already qualified with 10 points from their prior games, Al Hilal’s standing as Group A winners was unaffected by the outcome.
