The 8th African Nations Championship trophy and new emblem have been unveiled by the Confederation of African Football, or CAF.
According to CAF, “The new look for the tournament brings a fresh identity and emphasises its deep-rooted connections to African football and culture.
“It comes with a new TotalEnergies CHAN 2024 trophy that features a sleek, contemporary design, combining gold and silver elements, representing the prestige and growing stature of the tournament.
“A significant detail is the 54 distinct lines encircling the trophy, symbolizing the 54 African nations united with a map of the continent at its core.”
Nigeria, Guinea, Senegal, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic, Algeria, Niger Republic, Congo, Sudan, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, Angola, and Madagascar are among the 19 nations that will compete in the event, which is co-hosted by Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda.
