Daniel Ogunmodede, the Super Eagles’ assistant coach, is pleased with the team’s performance against Ghana.
In the first leg of the 2024 African Nations Championship, or CHAN, qualifier in Accra on Sunday, the Super Eagles B team held its enduring opponents to a scoreless draw.
Ogunmodede said that the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) would benefit much from qualifying for the biennial tournament.
“I am satisfied with the draw,” Ogunmodede said after the game.
“Now it is for us to qualify for the CHAN.
“Qualification will add more value to our league, the players and the indigenous coaches.”
On Saturday, the rematch will take place at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
The overall winners will go on to the postponed 2024 CHAN, which will take place in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda in February.
