Moroccan winger Hakim Ziyech has publicly declared his intention to leave Galatasaray during the upcoming winter transfer window, cutting short his loan spell from Chelsea. The 31-year-old’s remarks signal an irreparable breakdown in his relationship with the Istanbul club.
“Galatasaray is over for me. I don’t want to play here anymore. I’m leaving in January,” Ziyech stated, making his dissatisfaction with the club and coach Okan Buruk abundantly clear.
Ziyech criticized Buruk’s management style and limited playing opportunities, expressing deep frustration. “I have never seen a coach of such a low level. I don’t really care. I want to be left alone. I regret coming here,” he added.
The winger’s outburst marks a bitter end to his stint at Galatasaray, where he struggled to find form and consistent playing time. With his contract at Chelsea running until June 2025, Ziyech will be free to negotiate with other clubs from January 1st.
As he eyes his next move, the Moroccan international will likely attract interest from teams across Europe, eager to capitalize on his technical ability and experience.
