Mohammed Kudus’ punishment has ended. The West Ham attacking midfielder will return to action in midweek after serving his five-match suspension.
The Ghana international has been serving a lengthy suspension following his red card in the match against Tottenham Hotspurs on October 19. Kudus will join his team-mates when they travel to the Midlands to face Leicester City on Tuesday, December 3.
The 24-year-old was booked for improper conduct and violent behaviour after clashing with Spurs players Micky Van de Ven and Pape Matar Sarr during a Premier League match.
He was initially banned for three games before the ban was extended, and he was also fined £60,000.
Kudus’ absence has largely affected the Hammers, who have only won once in five games. His return is seen as a huge relief for the struggling side as they look to bounce back during the busy December period.
Before serving his suspension, Kudus had scored two goals in eight games this season. He has also been a key player for the Hammers since joining from Ajax Amsterdam last season. His future at the London club remains uncertain after reports linked him with Arsenal and Liverpool.
