Manchester United secured their first win under new manager Ruben Amorim after rallying from behind to defeat Bodo/Glimt 3-2 in the Europa League.
United took the lead in the first minute when goalie Nikita Haikin mishandled a back pass.
Alejandro Garnacho then tapped in from close range after the ball broke loose due to pressure from Rasmus Hojlund.
The Norwegians scored twice in fast breaks, with Philip Zinckernagel fending off Tyrell Malacia before defeating goalie Andre Onana to wow the Old Trafford crowd and Hakon Evjen unleashing a spectacular strike into the top corner in the 19th minute.
Just before halftime, Hojlund controlled the ball with his first touch after Noussair Mazraoui’s pass into the box, then got a shot past two defenders into the far corner to give United the equaliser.
Shortly after Mason Mount struck the crossbar, Hojlund guided Manuel Ugarte’s low pass across the area into the net, giving Amorim’s team the lead five minutes after the interval.
Nevertheless, United was unable to score another goal and required two excellent stops from Onana to earn the three points, moving them up to 12th place in the rankings with nine points, ahead of Bodo/Glimt with seven.
