Rwanda’s Amavubi landed in Uyo on Friday for their crucial match against Nigeria on matchday six of the qualification campaign for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
On Thursday, the Amavubi were defeated 1-0 by the Mediterranean Knights of Libya at Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.
To play the Super Eagles, Thorsten Spitler’s team will travel to Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Monday.
In order to advance to the AFCON 2025 finals, the Amavubi need to defeat Nigeria and hope that Libya defeats Benin Republic.
The Super Eagles have already qualified for Morocco 2025 and are guaranteed to finish first in Group D.
The Benin Republic and Libya are also vying for membership in the club.
