NEC and KCCA maintained their top two status after claiming victories as match day six wound up.

In Mbale, KCCA needed a first half goal from Bright Anukani to get all three points that temporarily put them in the top spot.

KCCA who are yet to lose a match this season are on 13 points and now in second position following a 2-0 victory for NEC at home to Wakiso Giants.

Muzamir Mutyaba and James Jarieko got the goals for the Bugolobi based side in their victory over the Purple Sharks.

Hussein Mbalangu’s men were fortunate on two big occasions as Hudson Mbalire hit the cross bar while Tervin Kyeyune from close range failed to tap home.

NEC are top with 14 points and will face new league entrants Lugazi in their next game while KCCA will host Maroons on match day seven.
