In preparation for their Bundesliga matchup with Werder Bremen, Bayer Leverkusen welcomed Victor Boniface back to training on Friday.
The Bundesliga champions will play Ole Werner’s team on Saturday at Bremen’s Weserstadion.
Last Sunday, a horrific vehicle accident included Boniface.
Due to the sad situation, the Nigerian international suffered minor injuries.
The 23-year-old was absent from Die Werkself’s match against Brest in the UEFA Champions League midweek.
However, the striker is eligible to play against Bremen once he resumes training.
Manager Xabi Alonso said earlier on Friday: “We still have one more day to recover today and we want to prepare well again today.
“We will decide after the final training whether Boni will come along.
” But we have a very ready squad, everyone is important and everyone is ready when we need them.”
