Carling Knockout Cup: Kaizer Chiefs handed rivals Sundowns in Round of 16

by admin

After an impressive 4-0 victory over SuperSport United in the Carling Knockout Cup round of 16 clash last Saturday, Kaizer Chiefs are set to take on the formidable Mamelodi Sundowns in the qurterfinals of the Carling Knockout Cup.

The highly anticipated encounter will take place on Saturday, 2 November, at the iconic FNB Stadium.

In their first-round encounter, Sundowns showcased their strength with a dominant 5-0 win over Lamontville Golden Arrows, making them a tough contender for Amakhosi.

Football fans can expect a thrilling match, as both teams vie for a place in the semi-finals of the knockout competition.

Chiefs and Sundowns met earlier in the season in a sold-out league encounter, where the visitors won the match 2-1 under questionable circumstances at FNB Stadium.
