President Bola Tinubu has commiserated with the leadership of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Board over the death of its staff in the helicopter crash that occurred on the coast of Bonny Finima in Port-Harcourt.
The President has also reached out to comfort the families and loved ones of the NNPC staff and crew members who tragically lost their lives in the helicopter incident on Thursday, October 24.
In a heartfelt condolence message shared by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Tinubu expressed his “deepest sympathies” to those grieving.
He said, “President Tinubu Commiserates with the NNPC Board and Families of Victims Onboard the Helicopter in Port-Harcourt.”
”The president also stands in solidarity with the bereaved families, reaffirming his commitment to supporting them during this difficult time.”
Tinubu further directed an intensification of search and rescue operations.
He also called for a comprehensive report into the incident, urging military personnel and relevant agencies, including the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau, NSIB, and the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, to collaborate on recovery and investigation efforts.
