While he had rather convinced during his time at Olympique de Marseille by finishing in third place in Ligue 1 and notably eliminating PSG, in the round of 16 of the Coupe de France. But after only one season in the Phocaean city, the Croatian decided to leave to join Lazio Rome and return to Serie A. A short-lived adventure since he ended his contract with the Roman club after only three months in the position, as the Serie A club had announced.
Today free of any contract, the 46-year-old manager could well return to Ligue 1. According to information from L’Équipe, Stade Rennais would be interested in him. Indeed, Frédéric Massara, sporting director of Stade Rennais since last June, would have checked the name of the ex-Marseillais in his good books. The Italian manager would greatly appreciate his profile to replace Julien Stéphan, who is still on an ejection seat, as we revealed.
Julien Stéphan still weakened
