The North-East Zonal office of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has assured that it will continue to seek avenues for mutual understanding among its members across the states in the zone.
This assurance was given by the Zonal Chairman, Rev Emmanuel Bovoa, during an emergency meeting of the zone held on Wednesday at the Zonal Secretariat in Bauchi.
Represented by the Zonal Secretary, Kabiru Bappah Jauro, the Zonal Chairman emphasized that the unity and peace of the party cannot be overstated, especially at such a crucial time.

In his opening remarks, he said, “I welcome you all to this Executive Council meeting of the zone. We are here to deliberate on issues concerning our party, and at the end, we will inform you, journalists, of the outcome of the meeting.”
He added, “Very soon, we are going to have our Zonal Congress, which is part of the reason we are here — to discuss how to organize the exercise.”
Emmanuel Bovoa stressed, “We have the best and most well-equipped Zonal Secretariat of the PDP in the whole of Nigeria, thanks to the Governor of Bauchi State, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir.”
He further stated, “Today, we are proud of where we are. We are grateful and will always be grateful to him, even after we leave this place. We know that he set it up to the highest standards, and if you look at it, he is giving the PDP a facelift. We are not ashamed to tell anyone; I have gone around saying it.”
According to him, “Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, tried to copy it, but he couldn’t surpass it. The first person to do it was Sen Bala Mohammed. I know ours remains the best, and we are grateful to him.”
