An Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, on Tuesday remanded two persons – Adeyinka Olodude, 21, and Raphael Babatunde, 22 – for alleged murder.
The defendants, whose addresses were not provided, are charged with conspiracy and murder.
The Magistrate, Mrs Gladys Oladele, did not take the pleas of the defendants for want of jurisdiction.
She directed the police to return the case file to the Oyo State Director of Public Prosecutions for advice.
The magistrate adjourned the case until Dec. 10, for mention.
The prosecutor, Sgt. Samuel Owolabi, had told the court that the defendants committed the offences on Oct. 3 about 7.45 p.m. at the Ologuneru area of Ibadan.
Owolabi said that the defendants and others at large conspired to cause the death of one Mr Sulaiman Olayinka, aged 24, by stabbing him with a knife on his chest.
He said that the offences contravened Sections 516 and 316 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
