AS part of efforts of the Federal Government to create employment and reduce poverty among youths and women in Nigeria, the National Agricultural Development Fund (NADFund), has put together a five-day training and empowerment for youths and women in Ondo State.
NADFund is a government agency which has the mandate to support growth in the Nigerian agriculture sector by facilitating access to finance and drive transformative growth.
The training, which was organised in collaboration with Lyrics Consulting Limited and facilitated by Senator Olajide Emmanuel Ipinsagba, representing Ondo South Senatorial District began last Friday and will end today.
Participants were drawn from wards of six local Government Areas of Ondo South Senatorial District.
The sole aim of the training and empowerment workshop, according to NADFund is to train and empower the youths and women of Ondo State in the skills and knowledge in tailoring for transformation of livelihood, provision of sustainable income and foster entrepreneurship.
Participants were trained on what makes up the Sewing Machine, different business opportunities in Tailoring Business, and daily routine management of Tailoring machine.
The participants were full of joy and appreciated the Federal Government efforts targeted at improving livelihood and reducing poverty. A total of one hundred youths and women benefitted from the programme.
