Veteran Nollywood actor Saidi Balogun has publicly addressed the tragic loss of his first daughter, Zeenat Balogun.
The actor, known for his works in the Yoruba film industry, took to Instagram to share an emotional message on behalf of his family, expressing their gratitude to friends, colleagues, and well-wishers who have supported them during this difficult time.
Balogun posted a screenshot of the family’s official statement, noting their deep appreciation for the outpouring of love and support.
The family described the late Zeenat as a “warrior” who lived life to the fullest, and strong determination. She was remembered as a firm believer in the slogan “never give up.”
The statement reads:
“We extend our sincerest gratitude to everyone who reached out to my family during this difficult time. We have been deeply moved by the overwhelming care, the heartfelt messages, and the many condolence visits. Your presence, prayers, and acts of kindness have truly touched our hearts. The love and support from friends, neighbors, and even those we have not seen in years have been a constant source of strength. Your compassion has made this challenging period more bearable, and for that, we are immensely grateful.”
