A member of the House of Representatives representing Ibadan North West/Ibadan South West federal constituency, Hon Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide, has appealed to leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to learn from their previous mistakes.

Olajide who was elected on the platform of the PDP advised the party’s leaders to close ranks and unite so as to win future elections.

He spoke in reaction to the result of the gubernatorial election held in Edo State.

Our correspondent reports that the PDP candidate lost the election which was won by the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Olajide in a statement made available to DAILY POST through his Media Aide, Tolu Mustapha, attributed the failure of PDP to internal wranglings.

He said, “The party should put aside its differences and work together to achieve victory in the 2027 general elections.

“Unity is a necessary and strategic tool needed to strengthen the party’s position and ensure a more cohesive approach to future elections.

“The Peoples Democratic Party should learn from past mistakes and move forward with a united front as the 2027 general elections approach.

“The PDP’s ability to put aside internal differences and present a united front will be crucial in determining the success of the party in future polls.”
