A top politician and a former Commissioner for Higher Education in Delta State, Joan Mrapkpor, popularly known as ‘Ada Anioma’, has been abducted by unknown persons.
Mrapkpor, who is a former member of the Federal House of Representatives, was abducted inside her church during church service.
LEADERSHIP gathered that the incident occurred right inside the church, located off Delta Broadcasting Service (DBS) in Asaba, Delta State capital city.
An eyewitness said: “there was commotion right inside her church close to police headquarters, DBS Road.
“We all ran due to the heavy gun shooting. It just happened about a few minutes ago, one aide shot dead and a security personnel unconscious now.”
Efforts to reach the Delta State Police Command’s spokesman, SP Bright Edafe, were unsuccessful as his known phone lines were not reachable at the time of filing this this report.
