The Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command, CP Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman has commended officers and men of the Command for the supervision of the ongoing third-party insurance enforcement in the state,.
The CP in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun said the step is in line with the directive of the Inspector General of Police IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun,.
He explained that the exercise which is in its 4th day has continued without any complaint of harassment or extortion.
According to him, ” The exercise which commenced on the 1st February, 2025 has been going on smoothly in every part of the state such as Minna, Suleja, Tafa, Bida, Kontagora, Shiroro, New-Bussa and Mokwa”.
The CP warmed officers to continue to supervise the enforcement and ensure courtesy, and enlightenment during the assignment.
He admonished vehicle owners to register and obtain their vehicle third-party insurance, and cooperate with the Police during the enforcement and beyond in the interest of safety of lives and property.
