Egypt manager Hossam Hassan has announced a 25-man squad for the upcoming matches against Cape Verde and Botswana in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Pharaohs have already secured their place in the tournament, which will be held in Morocco, after collecting 12 points from the first four matches.
They are now scheduled to face Cape Verde and Botswana on November 15 and 19, respectively, in the fifth and sixth rounds of qualifiers.
Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah’s request to be omitted from the two games was granted and he will miss the camp alongside the injured Mohamed Abdelmonem.
Zamalek star Ahmed Sayed Zizo has also been excluded due to injury as well as Al Ahly’s trio Rami Rabia, Yasser Ibrahim, and Mohamed Hany and Al Masry defender Khaled Sobhi.
On the other hand, Smouha defender Mohamed Rabia has been handed his inaugural call-up as well as Mahmoud Zalaka of Ceramica Cleopatra.
Eintracht Frankfurt’s top scorer Omar Marmoush leads the foreign-based players’ list alongside Mahmoud Trezeguet, Hamdi Fathi, and Mostafa Mohamed.
