Hilarie Burton is defending her son.
The One Tree Hill alum made a call to action for her followers after she discovered a TikTok account impersonating her and Jeffery Dean Morgan’s 14-year-old son Augustus “Gus” Morgan.
“Hi gang. Need a little help. I don’t have TikTok and neither does our son,” she wrote on Instagram Oct. 25 alongside a screenshot of the fake profile. “But there’s this creep chick who is obsessed with him and keeps creating profiles on various platforms. I get it. He’s awesome. But she’s a freak for stealing the identity of a 14 year old boy.”
Hilarie then detailed the lengths she and Jeffrey have gone to try to resolve the matter. “We’ve reached out to her parents,” she continued. “To her directly. We’ve contacted law enforcement. Because of certain actions she’s taken, she’s broken laws. So please do me a favor if you have that platform. Report her.”
Shortly after, Hilarie—who also shares daughter George Morgan, 6, with The Walking Dead alum—provided an update detailing a second social media account being used to impersonate Gus.
