President Bola Tinubu announced the scrapping of the Ministry of Sports Development on Wednesday, replacing it with the NSC.

Dikko became a popular figure during his stint as Chairman of the League Management Committee (LMC).

The Nigerian top-flight witnessed massive development during his stint as LMC boss.

The erudite sports administrator also worked as a consultant to the House of Representatives Sports Committee.

The NSC, which had previously been dissolved, is now tasked with overseeing the country’s sports policies and administration, a role last undertaken by the Federal Ministry of Sports Development.
