Bandits terrorizing parts of Zamfara State have killed at least two persons and abducted the state Coordinator of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission RMAFC, Bashir Abara Gummi.
DAILY POST gathered that the assailants who launched the attacks along the Funtua-Gusau Road on Sunday also whisked several other persons to an unknown destination.
According to eye-witness reports, the armed bandits blocked the ever-busy road and opened fire on motorists.
It was gathered that the Zamfara State Auditor General, Abubakar Dan Maliki, narrowly escaped the attack.
Efforts by DAILY POST to reach the Zamfara State Police command were unsuccessful as ASP Yazid Abubakar could not take his calls.
