Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa  has promised to continue with developmental projects across the state if re-elected to the office as governor of the state.

He said, ” You can see what I have been doing since I assumed office, so I promise you, that I won’t relent in the infrastructural projects.

The governor promised the people of Akure kingdom to initiate more infrastructural projects especially roads construction across the kingdom that would turn the town the best capital city in the country, if re-elected.

“Akure remains one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria. If any development wants to happen in the state for good, it must start from Akure.

“We have been doing what you ask for , we will continue to do more. I have not started the government at all,” he pledged

Aiyedatiwa urged the people from Akure to troop out in their large number to vote for him on November 16th. He also said his administration will restructure the budget to suit his plans for the development of the state.

“I am so happy for what I see here . What Obas prophesied last time is the same voice they pronounced today. I am not here to promise.

“You have seen me and known what I am up to since I was a deputy governor, I have been handling issues relating to Obas. The voice of kings is just like God’s voice”

The Deji of Akure, Oba Aladelusi, who is the Chairman of Council of Obas in the state, described Aiyedatiwa as a man who has respect for the traditional rulers and institutions in the state, lauding that Aiyedatiwa had always portrayed the spirit of humility and had been supporting the cause of Akure kingdom and its people for development.

The monarch noted that the governor deserved to be supported in realizing his dream of retaining the governor’s seat.

The monarch pleaded with Aiyedatiwa to sustain his infrastructural projects especially in the areas of road constructions, provisions of streets solar lights in Akure.

“The governor is performing well, and he actually needs to be supported for his ambition. Here in Akure, we have been enjoying his support in areas of infrastructure.

“However, we plead that the governor should help us construct the internal roads in Akure and place a premium on our market roads and Igbatoro Road because that axis leads to Benin in Edo State and it will ease transportation.”
