Liam Payne Dead: Charlie Puth, Paris Hilton and More Stars Mourn One Direction Singer’s Death
Harry Styles’ mom Anne Twist is mourning her son’s One Direction bandmate Liam Payne.
Hours after the news broke on Oct. 16 that Liam had died at age 31, Anne shared a simple yet heartbreaking response.
Posting the image of a broken heart emoji to her Instagram account, Anne wrote, “Just a boy.”
Harry and Liam rose to stardom alongside their bandmates Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik after they were paired on The X-Factor in 2010. One Direction went on to become one of the most successful acts in X-Factor history before the hit boy band went on an indefinite hiatus in early 2016.
On Oct. 16, Liam suffered a fatal fall from the third story of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, local medical personnel told Telemundo.
In the afternoon, police had received a 911 call from the same hotel “reporting an aggressive man who could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol,” according to a statement from El Sistema de Atención Médica de Emergencias (SAME). Police did not share if substances were actually involved.
