Nollywood stars and fans have flooded Instagram with birthday messages and tributes for veteran actress, Idowu Philips, popularly known as Mama Rainbow, as she celebrates her 82nd birthday today.
The legendary actress marked the new age by sharing different emotional posts on her Instagram page. In one of the posts, Mama Rainbow expressed her gratitude to God for her new age, writing, “+1 today am now 82 years today. Thank you DADDY.”
She shared her thoughts on aging, noting that turning 82 is not the end but the beginning of another year filled with the wisdom she has gathered over eight decades.
“Turning 82 doesn’t mean the end of anything. It means the beginning of another year with a full eight decades of wisdom. Am still your baby family,” she posted.
In another post, the Yoruba movie icon thanked God for His continuous mercy and love, acknowledging how He has seen her through life’s trials and filled her life with joy.
She prayed for more years in peace and good health.
Fellow Nollywood stars quickly filled her comment section with birthday wishes.
Ashabi, Portable’s baby mama, wrote, “Happy birthday to you, grandma. More good years in good health and peace ma.”
