Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has reflected on the impact his late mother, Chief Mrs. Abigail Omojolagbe, had on the community during her lifetime, describing her as the pillar of strength and the Chief Wealth Distributor of the family.

Makinde made these remarks in an interview with newsmen shortly after laying a wreath in her memory at St. Peter’s Cathedral, Aremo, on Tuesday.

He acknowledged that his mother’s unwavering support significantly shaped his life.

“Although it has not been easy without her, our family finds comfort in the legacies she left behind,” he stated.

The remembrance ceremony included special prayers led by Very Reverend Samuel Adewoyin of St. Peter’s Cathedral, Aremo.

Notable attendees included Prince Ladi Adebutu, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Ogun State for the 2023 general election, Oyo State PDP chieftain Barrister Hazeem Gbolarumi, and other dignitaries.
