Chairman of Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State, Christian Onogba, has charged the newly sworn-in Secretary of the Local Government to be trustworthy and transparent to deliver to the people the dividends of democracy.
The chairman gave the charge in his office at Oghara, headquarters of the local government area while inaugurating the newly-appointed secretary of the council, Sunday Adjaimue.
The chairman tasked Adjaimue to be guided in his decision making while serving as the Local Government Secretary and ensure to carry his people along.
The chairman, who appealed to Adjaimue not to betray the trust of the people and leaders that had chosen him, noted that his administration is determined to deliver to the people the dividends of democracy as such together they will work to take the local government area higher.
Responding, Adjaimue appreciated leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for finding him worthy of the office of the Secretary.
He promised to be loyal to the council chairman and work in accordance with the vision of the MORE Agenda of the state governor to deliver to the people of Ethiope West Local Government Area the dividends of democracy.
