Super Eagles Touch Down In Nigeria After Libya Hostage

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have arrived in Kano from Libya after the players agreed to boycott their Matchday 4 AFCON 2025 game against Libya.

The aircraft, which chartered flight after refueling in Kano continued on to Abuja and eventually Lagos.

Upon their arrival in Libya on Sunday, the players and their officials received subpar treatment.

Due to the mistreatment they received from Libyan officials, the Super Eagles decided not to participate in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match.

Tuesday was set aside for the meeting at Benina. The Libyan government’s actions have previously been denounced by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Additionally, the matter has been sent to its disciplinary committee.
