Mozambique’s Commanding Performance was enough to secure all 3 points

by admin

Mozambique wasted no time asserting their dominance from the very first whistle. They played with confidence and fluidity, pinning Eswatini deep in their own half. In just the 11th minute, Bruno Langa surged down the left wing and whipped a perfect cross into the box. Dominguez was in the right place at the right time, meeting the ball with a precise finish to give Mozambique an early 1-0 lead.

Eswatini struggled to gain a foothold, overwhelmed by Mozambique’s relentless pressing and smooth passing. Mozambique controlled the pace, dictating play from midfield. As the half wore on, Mozambique’s pressure only intensified, and in the 41st minute, they struck again.

Bruno Langa, once more, delivered another pass. This time, Ratifo met the ball with precision, doubling Mozambique’s lead. The halftime whistle blew with the score 2-0, a reflection of Mozambique’s complete dominance in the first half.

The Second Half saw Mozambique’s Ruthless Continuation. If Eswatini had hoped for a change of fortunes after the break, Mozambique had other ideas. They came out with the same energy and intent, picking up right where they left off. The group leaders kept pressing forward, and Eswatini’s defense, already under heavy pressure, began to tire.

In the 59th minute, Mozambique’s quality showed once again. Ratifo received the ball near the edge of the box, held off his marker, and slipped a clever pass into the path of Catamo who calmly slotted the ball into the bottom corner to make it 3-0.

Mozambique’s bench erupted in celebration as the scoreline reflected their superiority. Eswatini looked deflated, unable to match the pace and precision of their opponents.

The 3-0 lead was a testament to Mozambique’s clinical finishing and teamwork. With over half an hour still left to play, it felt like the result was already sealed—but Mozambique’s hunger for more points was undeniable. 3 goals scored, 3 points bagged.
