The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, on Monday, appointed Adams Oshiomhole’s former deputy governor in Edo State, Pius Odubu as the head of its 24-member transition committee to work with the outgoing administration of Governor Godwin Obaseki for a successful transition come November 12th, 2024.
Recall that the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Joseph Eboigbe had requested the Edo State Governor-elect, Senator Monday Okpebholo to initiate the formation of his transition team, that would interface with the transition team of the outgoing administration.
Responding to the SSG, on Monday, the state Chairman of APC, Emperor Jarrett Tenebe, in a letter dated October 14th, 2024 and addressed to Governor Obaseki reads:
“I write to acknowledge the receipt of your letter requesting the Governor-Elect, Senator Monday Okpebholo and the All Progressive Congress (APC), to initiate the formation of a transition team to work with your side.
“We, however, look forward to a smooth and effective collaboration with our 24-member Committee, headed by Chief Pius Odubu as Chairman, for meaningful discussions that will lead to a seamless transition process.
“Attached herewith is the list Your commitment is highly appreciated.”
The names of the transition committee of the APC as contained in Tenebe’s letter to Obaseki are; former deputy governor of the state, Dr. Pius Odubu, Pharm. Matthew Urhoghide, Pastor Osagie Ize-lyamu, Barrister Andrew Adaze Enwanta, Dr. Washington Osifo, Nosa Adams and Omosede Igbinedion.
Paul Ohonbamu, Edo Omorogieva, Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe, Taiwo Akerele, Godwin Eshieshie, Yakson Musa, Kazeem Afegbua, Ohio Omo Ezomo, Gani Audu and Dr. Aminu Imafidon.
Others are Prof Oyaziwo Aluede, Prof. Mrs. Eunice Omonzejie, Matthew Egbadon, Dr.Tony Ikpasaja, Felix Akhabue, Kingsley Ehigiamusor and Dr. Frank Omoh.
