Veteran Nollywood actor Anayo Modestus Onyekwere, popularly known as Kanayo O. Kanayo, has shared valuable lessons for the Gen Z generation on how to effectively connect with older generations.
Kanayo stressed the need for diplomacy in interactions, especially when seeking support from family members.
In a humorous yet sensible message, he noted, “You know this Gen Z generation; they never cease to baffle me.”
He illustrated his point with an example of how a young musician might approach an uncle for sponsorship.
“When you go to your uncle and say you need support for your music project, and he asks, ‘What’s the title of your song?’ and you burst into the famous lines from Chella Boi’s ‘Nyash Na Nyash,’ you really think he’s going to back you up?”
Kanayo urged the youth to reconsider their approach, jokingly adding, “Gen Z, you guys must born again.”
