Police arrest driver for killing two Ondo students

The Ondo State Police Command on Thursday arrested a driver (whose identity has not been revealed) for killing two students from the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji.

The fatal accident occurred along the Akure-Ondo Expressway on Wednesday evening.

The victims, Chukwu Athanasius and Oladokun Oyindamola were on a motorcycle when they were hit by a speeding Toyota Camry. They died at the scene.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed the arrest of the driver and stated that the suspect is now in police custody. The bodies of the deceased have been taken to a morgue.

She said, “The bodies of the victims have been deposited at the morgue, and the driver of the vehicle is now in police custody.”
