Kano NSCDC nabs three for cable theft

by admin

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kano State Command, has nabbed three suspected vandals and dismantled a syndicate, said to be responsible for destroying critical national assets.

Operatives of the Anti-Vandalism unit apprehended Sunusi Musa (30) and Musbahu Habibu (32) at Eid ground, IBB way, Kano, while melting stolen streetlight cables.

Another suspect, identified as Muhammad Ado (47), was caught packing vandalised streetlight wires at Race Course Road, Nassarawa GRA, Kano.

The three suspects are already in custody, just as investigations have commenced, while the NSCDC is in frantic search of the three accomplices, who are still at large.

“Criminals have no hiding place in Kano. The Corps has launched a manhunt to bring perpetrators to justice,” he stated.

It should be recalled that NSCDC operatives on July 8 arrested a suspect, identified as Abdulrahman Auwafor of Layin Tankin Magi, Kura LGA, Kano for vandalising a transformer, as well as recovered some items believed to have been stolen items from him.
